CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A ‘Panchakarma Assistant’ certificate course for inmates was inaugurated at Bhopal Central Jail by District and Sessions Judge Amitabh Mishra, in collaboration with LN Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Bhopal. The event took place on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth anniversaries, October 2nd. Distinguished guests included District and Sessions Judge Amitabh Mishra, Aarti Sharma (Secretary, District Legal Authority), Abhay Singh (District Legal Authority Officer), Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre, Ashish Jaiswal (Executive Director, LNCT Group), Dr. Sapan Jain (Principal, LN Ayurvedic College), Director Vishal Shivhare, and other prominent figures.
The objective of this initiative is to help inmates become self-reliant after completing their sentences and being released from prison, enabling them to earn a living and support their families with dignity through the Panchakarma Assistant certification. This step aims to reintegrate them into mainstream society. As widely known, LNCT University and LN Ayurvedic College are actively involved in not only education but also social activities like these.
The honorable Principal District and Sessions Judge praised the initiative and encouraged similar efforts in the future. He also advised the jail administration and the college to establish a formal agreement to continue such activities regularly. The inmates at Central Jail were enthusiastic about acquiring this new skill. LNCT University’s Chancellor, J.N. Chouksey, and Secretary, Anupam Chouksey, appreciated and congratulated everyone involved in this commendable endeavor.
