CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At JK Hospital of LN Medical College, Bhopal, a patient from Chhatarpur had completely lost vision in one eye, and the vision in the other eye was gradually deteriorating. Upon investigation, it was found that there was a tumor in the patient’s brain located between the optic nerves of both eyes. Despite consulting several hospitals, surgery was not deemed possible anywhere. With great hope, the patient came to JK Hospital in Bhopal, where neurosurgeon Dr. Sandesh advised surgery.

In this highly complex brain surgery performed with the help of a microscope, the tumor was carefully removed from between the optic nerves. After the 4-hour-long operation, the patient is now completely healthy, and there has also been an improvement in vision.

This surgery was performed by Dr. Sandesh Khandelwal, with anesthetist Dr. K. K. Tripathi playing a significant role. The surgical team also included Dr. Siddharth Shukla, Dr. Chandrakanta Verma, and OT staff member Vijay.
