CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The All India Inter-University Mallakhamb (Men & Women) Competition 2024-25, organized by LNCT University at LNCT University, Kolar Road, Bhopal, is being conducted separately for both men and women.
In the men’s category, competitions were held in Rope Mallakhamb, Pole Mallakhamb, and Hanging Mallakhamb, while in the women’s category, events were conducted in Rope Mallakhamb and Pole Mallakhamb. A total of 72 universities participated, showcasing their talents and securing positions through excellent performances.
On the second day, the main attractions included exceptional performances in Pole Mallakhamb by players from the University of Mumbai, Nanded, LNCP Gwalior, Bundelkhand University, Vikram University, and Satara University, who qualified for the second round. Similarly, in the women’s category, 16 players delivered outstanding performances in Rope Mallakhamb and Pole Mallakhamb to qualify for the second round.
Renowned Mallakhamb stars such as Himani Parve (Arjuna Awardee), Bapu Samle (Chhatrapati Awardee, Maharashtra), Munna Lal Mamodia (Vikram Awardee), Vishwatej Mohite, and Maya Mohite (Chhatrapati Awardee, Maharashtra) participated in the competition with their teams. Referees played a pivotal role in ensuring a fair and unbiased competition.
