CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The semifinals and finals of the LNCT Basketball School Championship, organized by the LNCT Group at Lakshmi Narayan College of Technology, Raisen Campus, were held. In the boys’ final, Sharda Vidya Mandir defeated St. Joseph Co-ed with a score of 39-28 to win the title. Iconic secured third place by defeating Mahatma Gandhi CM RISE 43-37. In the girls’ category, St. Thomas claimed the title by defeating Montfort 20-12, while St. Joseph secured third place by defeating SVM 30-26.
In the award ceremony, the chief guest Anupam Chouksey, Chancellor of LNCT JNCT Professional University, Bhopal, honored the winners and runners-up with trophies and medals.
The Best Player award of the competition was given to Suryansh from Sharda Vidya Mandir, and the Best Shooter award also went to Siddharth from Sharda Vidya Mandir. Special awards were presented to Vineet Kushwaha (Mahatma Gandhi CM RISE), Akshay (St. Joseph), Shishant Verma (Iconic School), and Yugal (St. Joseph).
In the girls’ category, Vaishali Yadav from St. Thomas was named Player of the Tournament, while Shubhangi Dixit from Montfort won the Best Shooter award. Special awards were presented to Sheetal (St. Paul), Nikita (SVM), Shreya and Mehak (St. Thomas), and Monica (St. Joseph).
Additionally, Arvind Prakash Gupta (St. Thomas School), Nitish Jodh (St. Joseph Co-ed), Ashish Yadav (Sharda Vidya Mandir), Kedar (Iconic School), Ankit Kushwaha (Mahatma Gandhi CM RISE), and Kailash Katarwara (Montfort School) were honored for their contributions. The event was hosted by Sports Officer Tanwant Singh.
