CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The All India Inter-University Six-a-Side Cricket (Men’s) Tournament 2024-25, organized by LNCT University at LNCT Campus, Raisen Road, Bhopal, was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Rai, Director Dean Administration, LNCT, and Pankaj Jain, Sports Director, LNCT Group, who greeted the players during the opening ceremony.
The first match under floodlights was played between Dr. K.N. Modi University, Niwai, and the University of Kota. Dr. K.N. Modi University won the match by a massive margin of 98 runs. Batting first, Dr. K.N. Modi University set a target of 157 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 10 overs, with notable contributions from Manish (75), Yogeshwar (34), and A.V. Chaudhary (33). In response, the University of Kota was bowled out for just 59 runs in 5.1 overs. The Man of the Match title was awarded to Manish from Dr. K.N. Modi University.
In the second match of the tournament, Pacific University secured a spectacular win against Madhav University by a margin of 152 runs. Batting first, Pacific University posted a massive total of 172 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 10 overs, thanks to a brilliant century by Prashant Yadav (110) and a supporting 22-run knock from Vivek. In reply, Madhav University was bowled out for a mere 20 runs. Prashant Yadav of Pacific University was named Man of the Match.
