CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities, the All India Inter-University Drop Roball (Men & Women) Championship 2024–25 is being hosted at LNCT University, Raisen Road Campus, Bhopal. On the third day of this four-day tournament, in the men’s triple category, LNCT University’s team comprising Harshit Jain, Pratham Piplodiya, Shashank Shukla, Tarun Ghavri, and Dhruv Khanna defeated JJTU University with scores of 15/8 and 15/6 in the finals, clinching the gold medal. The bronze medal in this category was secured by the University of Calicut.
In the women’s triple category, MGKVP won the gold medal, University of Calicut took silver, and Sandeep University, Nashik claimed bronze.
In the mixed doubles category, JJTU won gold, University of Calicut earned silver, and Kumaun University, Nainital received the bronze medal.
The tournament’s Director is Ishwar Singh Arya, with Technical Directors Mrityunjay Sharma and Ishwar Panghal. According to Competition Co-Secretary Mahesh Sodhiya, the closing ceremony will be held tomorrow at the auditorium, where players will be awarded medals, trophies, mementos, and also receive lucky draw prizes and gifts.
