CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In a cultural exchange program titled “Bharat Unfiltered: From Villages to the World” organized by the Bhopal chapter of the World Organization of Students and Youth (WOSY), 30 international students from 20 countries experienced the rural lifestyle of India firsthand in Hasua village, located in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district. These students are currently pursuing their studies at LNCT University, Bhopal.

The event began with traditional drums, fireworks, and the ceremonial tying of turbans, where the villagers warmly welcomed the foreign students. The students visited local homes, experienced authentic Indian hospitality, and tasted traditional Indian meals.

“Pitthu” – A Cultural Bridge Between the Village and the World

The village children invited the international guests to play the traditional game of “Pitthu,” which the students enthusiastically embraced, creating a powerful scene of cultural inclusivity.

Prominent attendees included Damanpreet Singh, in-charge of LNCT’s Foreign Admission Cell, Shubham Goyal, Secretary-General of WOSY, and Shalini Verma, National Secretary of ABVP. The guests praised the event as “a remarkable initiative connecting Indian values with global youth dialogue.”

Anupam Chouksey, Secretary of LNCT Group, and Anuj Singh, WOSY State Coordinator for Central India, stated, “The goal of this initiative was for international students to see and understand the real, unfiltered face of India. The enthusiasm of both students and villagers reflected how deeply cultural exchange can foster global harmony.”

The program concluded with heartfelt gratitude from the students and a warm farewell by the villagers. All participants described the experience as “unforgettable,” while villagers expressed pride and honor in hosting international guests.
