CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At LNCT University, the All India Inter-University Jiu-Jitsu Championship witnessed outstanding performances by athletes from universities across the country, showcasing their talent, technique, and true sportsmanship. The competition featured intense and thrilling bouts across various weight categories in both Fighting System and Full Contact events. Players from the Department of Physical Education of LNCT University also delivered excellent performances, winning two silver medals and bringing pride to the university.
In the Full Contact Women’s -52 kg category, Priya Thakur of LNCT University won the silver medal. The gold medal was secured by Riya Deuri, while the joint bronze medals were awarded to Dolon D Singh and Megha.
In the Women’s -57 kg category, Kaushalya Gupta won the gold medal, while Renu of LNCT University secured the silver. The joint bronze medals went to Tannu and Lovely.
In the Fighting System Women’s -57 kg category, Dugi Lulu claimed the gold medal, while Shrabani Das won silver. The joint bronze medals were awarded to Swarna Jain and Priyanka Chaudhary.
In the Women’s -63 kg category, Mamta Upadhyay won gold, while Renuka Gurjar secured silver. The joint bronze medals went to Dharitri Saikia and Mummy Das.
In the Women’s -70 kg category, Nisha won gold, while Kritika Duggar took silver. Bronze medals were shared by Saithi Nath and Meenakshi Pant.
In the Women’s +70 kg category, Manashika Goyal won gold, while Bindushree secured silver. The joint bronze medals went to Asha Gurjar and Asha Rani Debbarma.
In the Full Contact Women’s -45 kg category, Kago Asung won gold, while Khushboo secured silver. Bronze medals were awarded to Tanishka Parihar and Raveena Menaria.
In the Women’s -48 kg category, Deepika won gold, while Nikita secured silver. Bronze medals were shared by Nabam Sangte and Sita Kumari.
In the Full Contact Men’s -56 kg category, Bikash Sungkurang won gold, while Harsh Arya secured silver. Bronze medals were awarded to Sanjay Gurjar and Parth Verma.
In the Men’s -62 kg category, Vicky won gold, while Vinoj Kumar secured silver. Bronze medals were shared by Sachin Dular and Harshit Sharma.
In the Men’s +94 kg category, Priyaranjan Charan won gold, while Arvind Devasi secured silver. Bronze medals were awarded to Harsh Verma and Krishna Kumar Jat.
