CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the LNCT Kolar Campus, the State-Level Taekwondo Championship 2025–26 was organized under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. In the competition, the Bhopal Nodal delivered an outstanding performance in both the men’s and women’s categories, securing the overall first position.
The championship was hosted by Lakshmi Narain College of Technology (LNCT), Bhopal. More than 80 players participated from various nodal centers across the state, including Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, and Sagar.
In the men’s category, Bhopal Nodal secured first place with 44 points, while Jabalpur Nodal finished second with 20 points. In the women’s category as well, Bhopal Nodal achieved overall first position with 38 points, whereas Jabalpur Nodal secured second place with 16 points.
In the women’s division, gold medals in different weight categories were won by Pakhi Rawat, Rahi Pathak, Sarika Singh Gautam, Garima Narware, and Priya Baghelwal. In the men’s category, Chetan Patel, Krishna Shastri, Mohammad Siraj, Satyam Dwivedi, Kshitij Singh, Deepak Kurmi, Aditya Thakur, and Akash Sunmoria secured gold medals in their respective categories.
Bhopal Nodal also delivered an impressive performance in individual and team Poomsae events.
At the closing ceremony, K.T. Chaturvedi (DSW, RGPV), Vivek Shrivastava (LN Paramedical), and Pankaj Jain (Sports Director, LNCT) felicitated the winners and runners-up with medals and trophies. Referees and sports officials from various nodal centers were also honored.
The championship not only enhanced the players’ skills and competitive spirit but also played a significant role in promoting taekwondo at the state level and encouraging sports culture among youth. The event was organized with the objective of instilling discipline, teamwork, and excellence in sports among participants.
Thus, LNCT Bhopal Nodal demonstrated its supremacy by delivering a remarkable performance in both the men’s and women’s categories at the state-level taekwondo championship.
