CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The LNCT Sports Achievers Award Ceremony 20026 was held. Coaches, sports administrators, sports experts and players who have made outstanding contributions in the field of sports were honoured at the ceremony.
The event was attended by chief guest Ashok Dhyan Chand, Olympian and Arjuna Awardee; Shweta Chouksey, Pro-Chancellor, LNCT Vidyapeeth University; Narendra Kumar Thapak, Vice-Chancellor, LNCT University; D.K. Satpathi, Dean, Student Welfare, LNCT University; A.K. Singhai, Dean Academic, LNCT University; and A.K. Choudhary, Medical Director, Director, LNCT Group.
The coaches and sports experts honoured included Ashok Kondaji Dudhare, Sushil Singh Thakur, Ajay Pal, C.S. Dhakad, Pradeep Rawat, C.P. Bhati, Abrar Ahmed Sheikh, Anoop Singh, Dharmesh Yashlaha, Sandhya Mehra, Manisha Hooda, Sajid Noor, Ajay Shrivastava, Varsha Patel, Maninder Singh, Vinod Pandey, Vishnu Kant Sahay and Jitesh Pawar.
Among the players honoured were Soumya Tiwari (cricket), Khushi Dabhade (fencing), Udit Patel (wrestling), Bhumi Baghel (canoe slalom), Manisha Dangi (rowing), Niharika Singh (kayaking and canoeing), Sanju Singh Rajput and Anushka Banwar (hockey), Varidhi Dubey (boxing), Prarthana Bhui (sailing), Asni Bharti and Soumya Nahar (kho-kho), Arbish Makrani (pencak silat), Renu and Priya Thakur (ju-jitsu), Himanshu Ghusar (arm wrestling), Krishnakant Patel, Harshit Jain and Siddhant Kushwaha (frontball), Anurag Meena (ju-jitsu), Anshujay Das and Saurabh Kumar Giri (karate), Rohit Singh Chauhan (arm wrestling), Mayuri Buwade and Armaan Gupta (frontball), Karishma Bohre (ice stock), Sipat Singh and Tanmay (rugby), and Divya Mishra and Aadesh Khanda (dragon boat racing).
All these players have brought pride to LNCT University and Madhya Pradesh through outstanding performances at the national and international levels. Their contributions and achievements were appreciated and they were honoured at the ceremony.
In addition, medal-winning players of the LNCT Group for the year 2025-26 were given an incentive amount of about Rs 5 lakh, while players and alumni who performed outstandingly at the national level were honoured with mementoes.
The objective of the ceremony was to encourage sporting talent, motivate young players to perform with excellence, and express respect for coaches and experts who have contributed to the field of sports.
