CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: LNCT University, Kolar Road, Bhopal, hosted a felicitation ceremony to honour its medal-winning players who delivered an outstanding performance at the 3rd National Frontball Championship and helped Madhya Pradesh become the overall winner by securing 11 gold medals. On the strength of the players’ excellent performance, Madhya Pradesh finished first overall in the competition, while Jharkhand placed second and Gujarat third.
LNCT University players excelled in various singles, doubles and mixed doubles events at the championship. The medal winners included Mayuri Budode (BPES, third semester), Renu (MPES), Harshit Jain (BPES, fifth semester), Krishnakant (MPES, third semester), Armaan (BPES, third semester), Siddhant (MPES), Vansh (BPES, first semester), Himanshi Madavi and Samay Tayade. Through their talent and strong sporting performance, these players won a total of 11 gold medals for Madhya Pradesh, bringing pride to the university and the state at the national level.
More than 200 players from eight states, including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Daman, Odisha, Haryana and Maharashtra, took part in the competition.
University management honours players
At the felicitation ceremony held at LNCT University, Kolar Road, Dr Anupam Chouksey, Chancellor, JNCT Professional University, and Secretary, LNCT Group, met all the medal-winning players and encouraged them on their impressive achievement. On the occasion, Pankaj Kumar Jain, Sports Director, and Dr Renu Yadav honoured the medallists and boosted their morale.
The university management praised the players’ outstanding achievement and announced an incentive amount for all medal winners. The management said the achievement would inspire other students to take up sports and added that LNCT University is continuously working to provide students excellent opportunities in sports along with education.
