“LNCT University Inter-College Athletics Meet”

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the auspices of LNCT University, the LNCT Sports Department organized the LNCT University Inter-College Athletics Meet 2024-25 at the LNCT Campus, Raisen Road, Bhopal. The event featured over 90 athletes from eight university departments, including Agriculture, B.Com, BBA, BPT, B.Tech, MBA, BPES, and MPES, who participated in various competitions.

In the 100m women’s category, Himanshi Mandavi from BPES won the gold medal, Sonali Vishwakarma claimed silver, and Manasvi took bronze. In the 200m women’s category, Renu from BPES secured the gold, Srishti Yadav from BBA BIA took silver, and Rukmani from MPES won bronze. In the 400m women’s category, Srishti Yadav from BBA BIA won gold, Priya Thakur from BPES claimed silver, and Ruchita Yadav from MPES took bronze. In the 1500m women’s category, Jyoti Sharma from BPES won gold, Priya Thakur took silver, and Shreya won bronze.

In the 100m men’s category, Sanju Saini (BPES, 3rd year) won gold, Sidhant Kushwaha took silver, and Sumit Chaudhary won bronze. In the 200m men’s category, Krishnakant Patel from BPES won gold, Lalu Mansare took silver, and Dhruv Khanna claimed bronze. In the 400m men’s category, Krishnakant Patel from BPES won gold, Sumit Singh took silver, and Sidhant Kushwaha took bronze. In the 800m men’s category, Arjun Vaskale from BPES won gold, Harsh took silver, and Deepak won bronze. In the 1500m men’s category, Arjun Vaskale won gold, Pradeep Patel from B.Tech won silver, and Anshuman from B.Com took bronze. In the 5000m men’s category, Anshuman from B.Com won gold, Nageshwar Raikwar from BPES won silver, and Pawan from MPES took bronze.

In the men’s shot put, Amar Raja from BBA BIA won gold, Rohit Chauhan from BPES took silver, and Akash won bronze. In both discus throw and javelin throw, Harshit Jain from BPES won gold, Rohit Chandan took silver, and Harsh claimed bronze. In the men’s long jump, Varun Shukla from MCA won gold, Pradeep Patel from B.Tech took silver, and Gagan won bronze.

During the closing ceremony, LNCT Sports Director Pankaj Kumar Jain, V. S. Panwar, and Dr. P. S. Dara honored all the winners and runners-up with medals.
