CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A dignified and inspiring programme was organised in the auditorium of LNCT University under the public awareness campaign ‘Operation Hamdard’, being run by the Railway Police (GRP).

The main objective of the special event was to make students aware of the safety precautions to be observed during train travel and to introduce them to the humane side of the police administration. Rail Special Director General of Police Raja Babu Singh attended the programme as the chief guest, while Deputy Inspector General of Police, Railway Police, Pankaj Shrivastava was present as the special guest.

The programme began with the collective singing of the national song, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Upholding tradition, the university family welcomed all the guests with shawls and coconuts.

A short film showcasing the objectives and functioning of the ‘Operation Hamdard’ campaign was then screened, deeply impacting the audience present in the auditorium.

Opening the intellectual session of the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor of LNCT University said in his welcome address that such awareness campaigns strengthen the sense of social responsibility among young people. He wholeheartedly appreciated this cooperative and sensitive initiative of the Railway Police.

The main attraction of the programme was Rail Special DG Raja Babu Singh. In his powerful and guiding address, he discussed in detail the concept of ‘Operation Hamdard’. He said the campaign was not merely a police action, but a sensitive effort to stand with the public, especially rail passengers, in times of distress.

Encouraging the students, he said that young people are the backbone of the country and can play an important role in promoting a culture of safety and cooperation in society.

At the end of the programme, Dr. D.K. Satpathy expressed gratitude to all the guests, speakers, teachers and students present.
