CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The importance of Ayurveda is continuously growing across the world, and in this context, ‘Saushruti 2025’, a National Ayurveda Conference held in Bhopal, became the center of discussion. Organized at the auditorium of LNCT University, this two-day program not only showcased the confluence of tradition and science but also opened new pathways for the future of healthcare services.
On Sunday, the Chief Guest at the valedictory session was Dr. Umesh Shukla, CEO and Principal of Pt. Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Bhopal. Addressing the closing session, LNCT Group Secretary Anupam Chouksey said, “Ayurveda is an integral part of our tradition and culture. When Ayurveda is used in balance with modern medicine, healthcare becomes more effective. The way scholars and researchers from across the country have presented their views in this conference will prove to be a milestone for the medical field in the coming times.”
He further added that LNCT University will continue to encourage such academic and research-oriented events. “Our aim is not only to take an ancient system like Ayurveda to the youth but also to establish it on a global platform. We are proud that this national conference ‘Saushruti 2025’ was held on the LNCT campus and that it has given a new direction to the world of Ayurveda.”

The inaugural session had Huzur constituency MLA Rameshwar Sharma as the chief guest. Other dignitaries present included NCISM New Delhi member Dr. K.K. Dwivedi, Sushrut Kanoujiya, Atul Varshney, Arogya Bharti’s National General Secretary Ashok Kumar Varshney, National Executive Member Mihir Kumar Jha, CEO and Principal of Pt. Khushilal Sharma Govt. Ayurvedic College Bhopal Dr. Umesh Shukla, and National Guru of RAV New Delhi, Madhusudan Deshpande. More than fifty Ayurveda scholars from across the country graced the students with their knowledge.
This two-day national conference witnessed participation from across India. Among the keynote speakers were Dr. Mahesh Vyas, Dean (Ph.D.), All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi; Srinath Kashikar, Principal of Savarkar Ayurvedic College, Satara, Maharashtra; Prof. Pawan Kumar Godtwar, Technical Officer, WHO Traditional Medicine Unit, National Institute of Ayurveda; Dr. Pradeep Shinde from Belagavi, Karnataka; Dr. Prakash Kumbhkar from Rajkot, Gujarat; Lokendra Pahadiya from Jaipur, Rajasthan; and Prof. Dr. Sheetal Asutkar from Mahatma Gandhi Ayurveda College, Wardha, Maharashtra.
On this occasion, eminent surgeons and physicians in the field of Ayurvedic Shalya Tantra were honored with the Acharya Sushrut Award. Nominations were invited from across the country, out of which five distinguished practitioners were selected and felicitated with a shawl, coconut, garland, certificate, memento, and a cash prize of ₹11,111.
