CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The “Supermoon Observation Program” was successfully organized today at the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal. A large number of citizens, students, and astronomy enthusiasts participated and enjoyed the magnificent celestial spectacle.

This was the last Supermoon of the year 2025, when the Moon was located approximately 360,000 kilometers away from Earth. The event offered all attendees a chance to witness the Moon’s extraordinarily bright and captivating appearance.

The program held special significance as the entire world continues to look toward India’s remarkable achievements in lunar exploration — from the historic Chandrayaan-3 mission, which made India the first nation to land near the Moon’s south pole, to the country’s ambitious future lunar programs. India is leaving a strong mark on the global stage.

The event not only allowed people to experience the breathtaking beauty of the glowing Supermoon but also sparked new curiosity among the youth about the future possibilities of lunar exploration.

Participants observed the Supermoon through telescopes and learned about the scientific reasons behind this phenomenon from the experts of the centre.
