CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Department of Physiotherapy at LNCT University organised a grand celebration of World Physiotherapy Day 2026. The programme began with Saraswati Vandana, lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the national anthem.
The guests were welcomed by Head of Department and Principal Vivek Shrivastava. The welcome address was delivered by R. K. Chaurasia. The programme was organised under the guidance of the university’s Executive Director Dharmendra Gupta and Registrar A. K. Soni.
On the occasion, three special lectures were organised: Disability Evaluation by Arun Ravipati, Preventive Physiotherapy for Cardiovascular Conditions by Ajita Mishra, Basics of the Mulligan Technique by Tarun Kumar, and a session on diaphragm muscles by Manish Singh.
Cultural performances by BPT students won the appreciation of the audience. Reel-making, poster, street play and dance competitions were also organised.
Awards and honours ceremony: A key highlight of the ceremony was the prize distribution, in which students were honoured in various categories. Academic Excellence Awards were given to meritorious students who secured the highest marks. Attendance Awards were presented to students with 100 per cent attendance throughout the year. Competition Awards, certificates and prizes were given to the winners of the poster, reel, skit and dance competitions.
