On the second day of the All India Inter-University Six-A-Side Cricket (Men’s) Tournament 2024-25, organized by LNCT University at LNCT Campus, Raisen Road, Bhopal, an exciting match was played between LNCT and the University of Agriculture, Dharwad.
LNCT won the toss and elected to bat first. Thanks to stellar performances by Krishnakant Patel (60 runs), Sohan (21), and Narendra (15), LNCT set a target of 101 runs in 9.5 overs at the loss of 5 wickets. In response, the University of Agriculture, Dharwad was all out for 80 runs in 9.1 overs, losing 5 wickets. LNCT secured victory by 21 runs. For LNCT, Siddhant took 2 wickets, while Alok and Kuldeep took 1 wicket each. Krishnakant, who scored 60 runs off 30 balls, was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding batting performance.
In another match, Pacific University defeated Preeti Global University by 1 wicket. Batting first after winning the toss, Preeti Global University posted a target of 102 runs for 5 wickets in 9.3 overs, with Pradeep and Surendra both contributing 31 runs. Chasing the target, Pacific University achieved the score in 10 overs at the loss of 4 wickets. Key contributions came from Prashant Yadav (27), Kamlesh (27), Yash (15), and Vivek (15).
