CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi University, LNCT successfully defended its title by defeating LNCTS 2-0 in the men’s final of the RGPV Nodal Badminton Tournament, held at TT Nagar Stadium, Bhopal. In the first singles match, Akshat Tiwari from the winning team defeated Arsh with a score of 15/11, 15/10. In the doubles match, the pair of Akshat Sharma and Anadi Russia secured the title by defeating Arsh and Agrim Rathore in straight sets, 15/9, 15/12.
Earlier, in the semifinals, LNCT beat SATI Vidisha 2-0, and LNCT Excellence triumphed over TIT 2-0 to reach the finals. The LNCT winning team consisted of Akshat Tiwari, Akshay Sharma, Anadi Russia, Rizwan Ansari, and Jino Burgis. The runner-up LNCT Excellence team included Mohammad Arsh, Agrim Rathore, Sahil Kumar Singh, Abhijeet, and Suryansh Datar.
Teams from 20 colleges affiliated with RGPV University participated in the tournament. Dr. Anupam Chouksey (Secretary, LNCT Group), Ashok Rai (Director of Administration, LNCT), B.K. Sahu (Principal, LNCT), Pankaj Jain (Sports Director, LNCT), Tanwant Singh, and Mahesh Sondhiya extended congratulations to all the winners and runners-up.
