Lakshmi Narayan College of Technology Science, Bhopal, organised the RGPV Nodal Badminton Women’s Competition 2026-27 under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, at the LNCT University campus on Kolar Road, Bhopal. More than 50 players from various institutions, including SIRT, Oriental, Systech Gandhinagar, Systech Ratibad, Sati Vidisha, UIT RGPV, JNCT, TIT and LNCT, took part with enthusiasm.
In the first semi-final, LNCT defeated Systech Ratibad 2-0 to enter the final. In the second semi-final, SIRT beat Systech Gandhinagar 2-0 to book its place in the final. In the title clash, the LNCT team produced a strong performance and defeated SIRT 2-1 to win the women’s category title.
The key results of the final were as follows: Singles: SIRT’s Ananya defeated LNCT’s Divya Singh 21-1. Doubles: LNCT’s pair of Darshana Jain and Shreya defeated SIRT’s Ananya Sharma and Tanisha 21-15. Reverse singles: LNCT’s Disha Jain defeated SIRT’s Shreyanshi 21-1 to secure the team’s victory.
At the closing ceremony, the winners and runners-up were honoured with medals and trophies by Nalini Mishra, Dean, LNMC and Research Center; Pankaj Kumar Jain, Sports Director, LNCT; and Renu Yadav, Assistant Professor, Physical Education, LNCT.
