CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A two-day national workshop will be organised at LNCT University, Bhopal, on September 7 and 8 with the objective of linking the concept of examination conduct and evaluation in the Indian knowledge tradition with the contemporary education system in the perspective of the National Education Policy-2020. The programme will be held jointly by LNCT University, the Higher Education Department of the Madhya Pradesh government, Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas and Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Akademi.

On the first day, September 7, Atul Kothari, Ashok Kadel, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, the Commissioner, Higher Education, and Prof. Khemsingh Daheria will be prominently present at the inaugural session. Atul Kothari will deliver an address. After this, Ramesh Chandra Bhardwaj will speak on the philosophical basis of education, examination and evaluation in the Indian knowledge tradition, while Prof. Chandra Charu Tripathi will deliver a lecture on continuous and comprehensive evaluation. Research papers will be presented in the final session of the day.

On the second day, September 8, discussions will be held on evaluation of knowledge, conduct and wisdom, and on the comprehensive concept of examination in the Indian education tradition. Prof. Ravindra Kanhere will present views on the role of evaluation in the admission process and student selection, while Prof. Uma Kanji Lal will speak on digital examination and evaluation. Virendra Gupta will deliver a lecture on the various dimensions and types of evaluation, and Prof. Ramakant Pandey will speak on the role of evaluation in overall personality development and character building.

In the final session, Dr. G.S. Tuteja will present views on student evaluation in the Gurukul tradition, and Dr. Viral Gaurishankar will speak on the Indian examination and evaluation model for Viksit Bharat-2047. The workshop will then conclude with a vote of thanks and the national anthem.
