CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, a grand and well-organized week-long series of programmes was conducted under National Science Day 2026 on the theme “Women in Science: Catalyzing Developed India.” The entire event was organized under the aegis of the National Council of Science Museums. National Science Day is celebrated in memory of the Raman Effect propounded by C. V. Raman.
On the occasion of National Science Day, a special scientific demonstration on experiments under low pressure was conducted with remarkable success, leaving a profound and captivating impact on the audience. As part of the programme, artificial reduction of air pressure was created to demonstrate, through live and practical experiments, the behavior of various substances and liquids, changes in boiling point, the limits of sound transmission, and physical transformations occurring in the absence of air.

Experiments such as rapid evaporation of liquids under extremely low pressure, expansion of balloons, and the disappearance of sound waves effectively enabled the audience to directly experience subtle scientific principles. Through these demonstrations, complex scientific concepts related to air pressure, temperature, molecular energy, and change of state were presented in a simplified yet impactful manner.
Students, teachers, and members of the general public participated in the programme with enthusiasm, curiosity, and keen scientific interest. The audience highly appreciated the experiment-based structure and knowledge-enriching presentation of the event, describing it as engaging, educational, and inspiring. All attendees expressed their curiosity and passion for science while enjoying the scientific demonstrations.
Thus, the week-long celebrations organized on the occasion of National Science Day 2026 concluded successfully, gracefully, and inspiringly. The comprehensive event conducted by the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal proved to be a meaningful and commendable initiative toward strengthening scientific temper, rational thinking, research orientation, and innovative mindset in society.
