CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Lucknow University has once again affirmed its academic quality and research capacity on the international stage, registering a notable performance in the prestigious QS Asia University Rankings 2027. In the latest results released by international ranking agency QS, Lucknow University has been placed in the 801-850 band in Asia. The university has also secured the 124th rank at the national level and the 247th position in South Asia, further strengthening its place among the continent’s leading higher education institutions.
According to a detailed analysis of the rankings, the most significant achievement is that Lucknow University is now performing better than more than 50 percent of higher education institutions in Asia. The university has moved ahead of 50.8% of ranked institutions in Asia, reflecting a strong and positive rise compared with 48.6% in the previous edition.
Continuous improvement in overall score and key indicators: despite intense global competition and the inclusion of a large number of new institutions, Lucknow University’s overall institutional performance has continued to strengthen. The university’s overall QS score has risen from 20.9 in 2026 to 22.6 in 2027. Notably, this score was only 5.2 in 2023 and has now reached 22.6. In faculty qualification, the university secured an impressive score of 83.0 in the indicator for teachers holding PhD degrees. In international outreach, it recorded excellent scores of 55.0 in the international research network and 55.2 in the international student ratio. In research and citations, according to the QS fact file, the university has contributed 26,581 research papers and earned 29,159 citations.
