CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Senior Citizens Forum Kalar Samaj Madhya Pradesh Bhopal – Session 2024 – 2027 – First meeting of the general body, held last day at JK University, Conference Hall. The meeting started with the worship of Lord Sahasrabahu and lighting of the lamp. Thereafter, the Chairman (Kalchuri Kalpana ID Rai) welcomed the members and introduced the newly elected office bearers. Later action was taken as follows
1- Reading of the discussions of the last General Assembly meeting by the General Secretary (DP Gupta) as part of the proceedings of the meeting and approval by the House.
2- Presentation of the audited valence sheet under the main points of view – Answers to the questions presented by the Treasurer (Suresh Malviya) and the House.
3- Approval of valence sheet by the House.
4- Exchange of views on the outline of the discussion and program to be celebrated on the foundation day of the platform (second week of August 2024).
5- Ayushman Bharat Health Scheme – Information about the form for free treatment for every senior citizen above 70 years of age by the Senior Vice President (Harish Malviya) and getting the form filled by the appropriate members.
6- Presentation of the annual work plan of the forum by the President (Kalchuri Kalpana ID Rai) –
Education Cell, Youth Cell, Technical Knowledge Camp for senior citizens, Career Guidance Workshop for children, Cultural Cell, Publication of Kalchuri Darpan magazine, Discussion on social burning issues – Increasing wasteful expenditure and ostentation in weddings, expensive weddings, pre-wedding shooting, Increasing age of marriage, destination marriage, increasing craze of kitty parties and side effects etc.
Death Banquet: After discussing in detail, the society members decided that a committee should be formed and these members would meet the family and appeal for their cooperation in case of such a tragic incident in the society. The family should perform religious rituals, perform havan puja, also make arrangements for food for relatives who have come from outside, but do not plan food in the name of funeral feast.
At the end of the meeting, the House accepted the rationale of all these programs and praised them greatly.
The office bearers and executive of the forum expressed confidence that the forum will develop progressively under the special support and guidance of the patron of the forum, Mrs. Poonam Jayanarayan Chowksey.
In the meeting along with officials Mrs. Sushila Chowkse, Dali Malviya, Urmila Arya, Kamala Rai, Brahmaswaroop Pethiya, SN Suryavanshi, GS Jaiswal, O. About 60-65 members like P. Choukse, Shankar Lal Rai, Prakash Malviya, Sitaram Choukse, Ashok Shivhare (City) etc. took active participation.
