CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh government’s farmer-friendly and innovation-based Bhavantar Payment Scheme-2025 has been honoured with the prestigious national-level Skoch Gold Award-2026. The award was presented at a समारोह held at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi.

Under the able leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and the guidance of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Aidal Singh Kansana, Bhavantar Yojana-2025 and the e-Mandi Yojana have been successfully implemented under an integrated digital framework. The initiative is being seen as an important step towards providing farmers price protection, quick payment and a transparent agricultural marketing system.

Under Bhavantar Yojana-2025, soybean procurement was carried out entirely through the e-Mandi application. The scheme is an innovative arrangement introduced for the first time in the country, aimed at protecting farmers from a fall in market prices. Under the scheme, the difference between the Minimum Support Price and the actual sale rate/model rate is transferred directly into the bank accounts of farmers, ensuring them a fair price for their produce.

Bhavantar Yojana-2025 and the e-Mandi Yojana are being described as excellent examples of the Madhya Pradesh government’s farmer-centric, technology-driven and transparent agricultural marketing system. These schemes have not only strengthened farmers’ income security, but have also given a new direction to the state’s agricultural economy by making the agricultural marketing system modern, digital and more accessible.

On behalf of the Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board, Bhopal, the honour was received under the direction of Managing Director Kumar Purushottam by Yogesh Nagle (Assistant Director), Goving Sharma (Assistant Director) and Niranjan Singh. Both applications were developed by NIC Bhopal.

The honour was presented by Prof. S. Mahendra Dev (Chairman, Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council), Dr. Manoj Kumar (Additional Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India), Dr. Shekhar Iyer (Director, Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations), Prof. Sachin Kumar Sharma (Director General, RIS), and Sameer Kochhar (Chairman, Skoch Group). Many eminent citizens and distinguished guests from different fields were present at the programme.

The achievement is being seen as an important national-level recognition of the Madhya Pradesh government’s commitment to farmer welfare and agricultural marketing reforms, and it underlines the success of the state’s digital agricultural marketing system.
