Madhya Pradesh’s Urban Development and Housing Department’s ‘E-Nagar Palika’ portal has received the prestigious Silver Award in the cyber security category under the National E-Governance Awards 2026. The honour was presented to Commissioner Sanket Bhondve by chief guest Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology and Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh at the 29th National E-Governance Awards ceremony held in Jaipur.
This national honour for Madhya Pradesh is a living proof of the state’s farsighted policy and technological excellence. The Madhya Pradesh government has not only made citizen services accessible and convenient through digital means, but has also provided them with an impregnable security cover. Ensuring the security of sensitive personal and financial data of lakhs of citizens associated with urban bodies, maintaining transparent administration and building secure IT infrastructure have been key features of the portal. On these highest standards of digital governance and risk management, the ‘E-Nagar Palika’ portal has established an exemplary model of secure digital good governance before other states in the country.
