CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has made unprecedented innovations in digital good governance, e-governance, cyber security and citizen services. He said this national award is a proud symbol of nationwide recognition for the state’s continuous efforts toward excellent delivery of citizen services and technological reforms.
He said Madhya Pradesh is taking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India Mission forward effectively with full commitment. The Urban Development and Housing Department is continuously working to provide citizens with excellent, simple and transparent digital services, while remaining equally sensitive toward cyber security and data protection. The department’s objective, he said, is not merely to digitise services but to establish a secure digital ecosystem in the state where technology, security and citizens’ trust move forward together.
Vijayvargiya said the e-Nagarpalika project has been developed with the objective of making citizen services simple, fast and transparent while ensuring the highest level of security for citizens’ data. He said the platform is based on modern cloud infrastructure, zero trust architecture, data encryption, continuous cyber monitoring and advanced cyber security standards. This ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of citizens’ information, while all necessary security and compliance standards are being strictly followed. He said it is a matter of खुशी? Wait.
The minister said it is a matter of happiness that the e-Nagarpalika project being run by the department has been selected for the prestigious National e-Governance Award 2026.
Sharing technical details of e-Nagarpalika 2.0, Vijayvargiya said it includes GIS-based property management, cloud-based data management, artificial intelligence-based services and integration with various government digital platforms, including UMANG. At present, more than 20 modules and 24 citizen services are being operated in an integrated manner through this system, leading to improved efficiency in urban local bodies. He expressed confidence that this national honour would prove to be an important milestone in the field of citizen-centric service delivery in the state and would further strengthen the resolve of a ‘Developed Madhya Pradesh’.
Vijayvargiya expressed great happiness over this historic achievement of the department. Congratulating all officers, employees and the technical team of the Urban Development and Housing Department, he praised their excellent and dedicated work and extended his best wishes for the future. Urban Development and Housing Commissioner Sanket Bhondve said the national award is a gratifying outcome of the hard work, innovation and commitment of the entire team to establish transparent digital good governance in the state.
