In this prestigious national winter sports festival, a 15-member Ice Skating Team from Madhya Pradesh will represent the state. The selected athletes will compete in Speed Skating events, including both Short Track and Long Track disciplines. This year marks a moment of pride for Madhya Pradesh, as 15 promising players selected from various regions of the state will participate in this renowned winter sports competition in Ladakh.

The athletes competing in the ice skating events will not only showcase their individual talent but will also represent the sporting spirit, discipline, and youthful strength of the entire state of Madhya Pradesh.

State Talents Receive a National Platform

Through the Khelo India Winter Games, emerging sports talents from across the country get the opportunity to compete at national and international levels. The players selected from Madhya Pradesh have secured their place in this competition through consistent practice, discipline, and outstanding performance, reflecting the state’s strong and growing sports culture.

Players Selected from Various Districts, Strong Participation of Women Athletes

The team includes talented players from Satna, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Bhopal, and other districts. This selection is proof that interest and capability in winter sports such as ice skating are steadily increasing among the youth across different regions of the state.

In the men’s category, Sachin Gupta, Sujal Sahu, Harsh Kasoundhan, Suryansh Singh, Noel C. Cherian, Kartik Jagtap, Harsh Khatri, Daksh Patel, and Prayatn Sharma will demonstrate their skills.

In the women’s category, Aadhya Solanki, Deepika Rai, Riya Chaubey, Jaladhi Tiwari, Udreka Singh, and Avantika Singh will represent the state. These athletes have been selected based on their discipline, continuous training, and state-level performances, highlighting the steady expansion of ice skating in Madhya Pradesh. The significant presence of women players in the team reflects the state’s ongoing efforts toward women’s empowerment in sports. Female athletes will represent Madhya Pradesh in both Short Track and Long Track events.

Strong Training and Guidance System

For the Khelo India Winter Games–2026, the Madhya Pradesh team has been provided with experienced and capable guidance. Coach Mr. Vaibhav Agrawal has been appointed to refine the athletes’ technical skills. Under his guidance, players have been comprehensively prepared for the competition at physical, technical, and mental levels.
