CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A 13-member media delegation from the state of Madhya Pradesh is on a visit to Uttar Pradesh under the auspices of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in Lucknow and Bhopal. The objective of the visit is to study the culture, cleanliness efforts, and development projects in Uttar Pradesh. The media delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel. The Honorable Governor shared information about the ongoing development projects, cleanliness campaigns, and initiatives for the welfare of women and children in the state. The journalists also discussed various special initiatives of the state with the Governor. On this occasion, the Governor presented the delegation members with the book Hamara Raj Bhavan as a token of gratitude.

Meeting with Lucknow Metro and UP Metro Rail Corporation Officials

The delegation also visited Lucknow Metro and met with officials from the UP Metro Rail Corporation. The officials provided insights into the operations, safety measures, and modern infrastructure of the metro. The journalists were briefed in detail about the technical aspects of metro operations and the safety measures taken for passengers. After learning about the metro’s operating control system and safety protocols, the delegation praised the development of Lucknow Metro.

Visit to RDSO: Discussion on Cutting-Edge Rail Technology under Atmanirbhar Bharat

The media delegation visited the Research Designs and Standards Organization (RDSO) of Indian Railways in Lucknow. Uday Borwankar, Director General of RDSO, briefed the media on the technical advancements in railways under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. He explained that RDSO is collaborating with IITs and engineering colleges to create new designs and innovations, with the Kavach technology playing a key role. This technology enhances railway safety.

Uday Borwankar highlighted that Kavach technology is making travel much safer. He also discussed the success of the bio-toilet system, which has reduced corrosion on railway tracks and benefited the environment. Currently, bio-toilets are installed in all trains, improving hygiene. He further mentioned that one of RDSO’s major achievements is the development of a world-class braking system for high-speed trains like Tejas and Vande Bharat.

Led by Manoj Kumar Verma, Director of the Press Information Bureau and Central Bureau of Communication, and Joint Director Dilip Kumar Shukla, the delegation will visit Ayodhya tomorrow to review ongoing development work.
