CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: The 13th National Ice Stock Sports Competition was held at Himadri Ice Rink in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Players from Madhya Pradesh delivered an impressive performance, winning a total of seven medals, including one gold and six silver. Shabana Khan of Betul was the coach of the Madhya Pradesh team.
In the team event, Bhopal’s Izraul Ali, Krish Thakur and Garvita Sahu, along with Anayza Khan of Betul, won the silver medal.
In the men’s individual target event, Bhopal’s Izraul Ali brought laurels to the state by winning the gold medal. In the women’s individual target event, Anayza Khan of Betul secured a silver medal. In the individual long-distance event, Garvita Sahu of Bhopal won a silver medal.
Neha Malviya of Sarni, Betul, also delivered an excellent performance in the senior women’s category.
Congratulating all the players, Anupam Chouksey, President of Ice Stock Madhya Pradesh and Chancellor of JNCT Professional University, said that Ice Stock Madhya Pradesh players are consistently performing excellently and enhancing the state’s prestige at the national level. He said the players’ hard work, discipline and dedication are the biggest hallmarks of their success. He added that the achievement of these players is a source of inspiration for the younger generation and that Madhya Pradesh will reach new heights in ice stock sports in the coming time.
The winning players were also congratulated by Anupam Chouksey, President, Ice Stock Madhya Pradesh and Chancellor, JNCT Professional University; Abrar Ahmad Sheikh, Director, Ice Stock Madhya Pradesh; and Pankaj Kumar Jain, Secretary, Ice Stock Madhya Pradesh and Sports Director, LNCT.
