CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress / ITDC News Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Futsal State-Level Tournament was organised on a grand scale by Tagore Football Club at the Futsal Arena of Scope Global Skills University. A total of eight teams from across the state participated in the competition, delivering impressive performances and displaying excellent sportsmanship.
The tournament final was played on Wednesday evening between Build Up Football Club and Tagore Football Club. In a highly exciting contest, Build Up Football Club registered an impressive 4-2 victory to win the title. Players from both teams showed excellent coordination, discipline and footballing skill, keeping spectators enthusiastic throughout the match.
For his outstanding performance in the competition, Eshan Sahi was named Player of the Tournament, while Piyush Khatik was honoured with the Best Goalkeeper award.
On the occasion, Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, said the university has always remained committed to doing better work in the field of sports and to providing young people opportunities at the national and international levels. He said such events give new recognition to the confidence and talent of players.
Sangeeta Johri, Registrar of Rabindranath Tagore University, also congratulated all the players for their impressive performances and praised the organisers. She said this successful tournament has given new energy to the sport of futsal in the state.
RN TU Deputy Registrar Sameer Chaudhary, Vikas Saxena, associate faculty members of the university and a large number of sports enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
The main objective of the tournament was to promote futsal in the state and provide a strong platform for young players to showcase their talent. Following the successful event, special enthusiasm was seen among players, spectators and sports lovers.
