CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On Friday, the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation celebrated its 46th Foundation Day in a unique manner with differently-abled children and elderly people. The corporation invited differently-abled children from Arushi organization to Bhopal Express Rail Coach Restaurant, elderly people from Apna Ghar and Aasra organization to Hotel Palash Residency, and orphaned children from Bal Niketan to Wind and Waves for a lunch.

Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of the M.P. Tourism Board, Mr. Shiv Shekhar Shukla, along with Managing Director of the Tourism Development Corporation, Dr. Ilaiya Raja T., visited the children at the Bhopal Express Rail Coach Restaurant. They distributed chocolates and gifts to the children and served them food. While the children enjoyed delicious dishes and recited poems at the Rail Coach Restaurant and Wind and Waves, the elderly people at Palash Residency enlivened the atmosphere with poetry and shayari.

Principal Secretary Mr. Shukla mentioned that the corporation’s Foundation Day is celebrated as M.P. Tourism Day. To make it memorable, this innovation was undertaken. Besides these noble social activities, discount offers were rolled out at all MPT hotels. Additionally, special dishes made from millets, such as kangni dalia, bajra khichda, jowar parathas, and kodo kheer, were served to guests and food lovers at the corporation’s hotels, resorts, and restaurants.

Foundation Day was also celebrated at the corporation’s headquarters, Tourism Bhawan. At an event held there, Principal Secretary Mr. Shukla congratulated the corporation’s officers and employees on the Foundation Day and provided guidelines for setting new goals and expanding facilities for the upcoming 50th Foundation Day. Managing Director Dr. Ilaiya Raja T. also extended his best wishes to the tourism corporation family, appreciating the contributions of all current and retired officers and employees over the 46-year journey of development.

Free enjoyment of Sair Sapata and Light and Sound Show

Managing Director Dr. Ilaiya Raja T. mentioned that several initiatives were taken to make the day memorable for the residents of the city. Free entry was provided to tourists at Sair Sapata in Bhopal. Guests staying at MPT hotels and resorts in Orchha, Gwalior, Chanderi, Burhanpur, Indore, Mandu, and Pachmarhi enjoyed the Light and Sound Show free of charge.
