CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Government of India has amended the maximum stock capacity for wholesalers and traders, as well as the monthly established capacity for processors, in a previously issued notification. According to this amendment, traders and wholesalers must bring wheat stock up to 2,000 metric tons within 15 days. Processors must also keep their stock at no more than 60 percent of their monthly established capacity, calculated based on the number of remaining months in the fiscal year 2024-25.

District Supply Controller Meena Malakar stated that the Madhya Pradesh Wheat Maximum Stock Limit and Stock Declaration Control Order 2024 has been notified in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette. In case of violation of the stock limit, clause 6 of the control order grants competent authorities the powers for entry, search, and seizure.

She informed that all wheat traders and wholesalers in Bhopal district are advised to maintain their wheat stock according to the limits set by the Government of India and the State Government. Otherwise, actions will be taken as per the Madhya Pradesh Wheat Maximum Stock Limit and Stock Declaration Control Order 2024.
