CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In the Asian Championship held in Tokyo, Japan, Madhya Pradesh’s Anujnya Sharma created history by winning a bronze medal for India.
In her 220-category event, Anujnya delivered an exceptional performance, defeating a Japanese opponent to secure the medal.
Expressing his happiness over her achievement, Madhya Pradesh’s Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare, Kailash Vishwas Sarang, congratulated and extended best wishes to Anujnya Sharma.

Anujnya was selected for the Kudo Asian Championship in Tokyo, Japan during the selection trials organized at Ko Athletica Gym in Surat, Gujarat, where she won her bout to confirm her place in the championship. Many athletes from different Indian states participated in the trials.
Before the Indian Kudo team departed for Japan, Shihan Akshay Kumar met the team and encouraged the players to perform their best. The Indian Kudo Team, led by Hanshi Mehul Vohra, left for Tokyo from Mumbai. Under the guidance of Hanshi Mehul Vohra and Dr. Mohammad Ejaz Khan, President of the Kudo Association of Madhya Pradesh, Anujnya achieved this remarkable success.

Anujnya Sharma, a talented athlete from Shajapur, has brought pride to Madhya Pradesh and India through her dedication, hard work, and passion for Kudo. The daughter of Shajapur fulfilled the dream of her grandfather Manohar Lal Sharma, late grandmother Chandrakala Sharma, mother Shilu Sharma, and father Rajeev Lochan Sharma by raising India’s flag in Tokyo.
Sports associations, sports enthusiasts, and her family members have expressed great joy and extended heartfelt congratulations to Anujnya for her outstanding achievement.

She has been training under the guidance of her coach and father, Rajeev Lochan Sharma, who is also the Secretary of the Kudo Association, Shajapur. According to Coach Sharma, Anujnya has previously won 2 gold and 1 silver medal for India in the Akshay Kumar Kudo International Tournament, as well as 4 gold and 2 silver medals in national championships. She has also earned 3 gold medals in the Federation Cup, making Madhya Pradesh proud on multiple occasions.
