CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: With Bihar’s 2025 Assembly elections fast approaching, the Mahagathbandhan alliance is set to finalize and announce its seat-sharing arrangement and release a collective manifesto within the coming week. Talks between the RJD and Congress are ongoing, with key leadership reportedly meeting in Delhi to iron out lingering differences. The Congress, which contested 70 seats and won just 19 in the previous election, is expected to receive a reduced number of seats this time around.
Meanwhile, the alliance is also working to incorporate newer partners into its fold, making negotiations more complex. On the other side, the NDA has already declared its seat-sharing, assigning 101 seats each to BJP and JD(U), 29 seats to LJP(RV), and 6 each to smaller regional parties. Voting in Bihar will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results on November 14. The Mahagathbandhan’s forthcoming announcements will be crucial in shaping candidate choices, electoral strategies, and the battleground map in the state.
