CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ Ujjain : The Ganraj Kalaperv 2025, organized on the auspicious occasion of Ganeshotsav at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Vikram University, Ujjain, showcased a remarkable confluence of cultural unity between Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The event was jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of Maharashtra, Vikram University, the School of Continuing Education, the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and the Marathi Rasik Group, giving attendees a vivid experience of the grandeur and warmth of Maharashtra’s Ganesh festival.

The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Municipal Corporation Chairperson, Mrs. Kalawati Yadav. In her address, she said that the event’s name is as beautiful as its grandeur and atmosphere, which appeared truly magnificent and captivating. The arrival and welcome of Ganpati Bappa were so unique that it felt as if the entire Maharashtra had descended into the Ujjain auditorium. She expressed gratitude to Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, and Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, along with all the organizers.

The program was presided over by Vikram University Chancellor Arpan Bhardwaj, who said that the event is not only a religious celebration but also a strong symbol of cultural and national unity. Such programs connect us to our traditions and remind us of the legacy of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who had made Ganeshotsav a medium for public awakening.

As a distinguished guest, Govind Gandhe, Director of the Kalidas Academy, spoke about Maharashtra’s unique culture and the tradition of Ganeshotsav as a unifying social practice. Coordinated by Bhushan Nayak, the event featured enchanting performances showcasing Maharashtra’s folk arts and devotional traditions by artists including Uday Satam (Director), Darshan Satam (Singer), Datta Chalke (Presenter), Sandeep Kamble (Dance Director), Komal Dhande (Singer), Sachin Ghag (Instrumentalist), and Jyoti Satam (Singer).

The program was hosted by Sudarshan Aaychit, and the guests were welcomed with traditional Marathi turbans and shawls. Beginning with Ganesh Vandana, the event offered the audience a unique and immersive experience of Maharashtra’s vibrant culture.
