CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: Nanded. The Nanded district administration in Maharashtra has decided to provide free coaching to meritorious students from economically weaker families in rural areas to help them prepare for competitive examinations. Under the initiative, a total of 200 students will be prepared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). The aim is to ensure that higher education opportunities for talented students are not affected because of financial hardship.

According to information issued by the administration, Class 10 students studying in Zilla Parishad high schools and private aided schools in rural areas will be eligible for the scheme. Selected students will receive structured coaching for admission to medical, engineering and other professional courses. The benefit of the scheme will be available only to students who meet the prescribed eligibility conditions and succeed in the selection process.

The 200 students will be selected through an entrance examination. The examination is planned to be held in December 2026. However, students will need to watch for the administration’s official notification for the exact examination date, application process and other detailed instructions. The district administration has appealed to eligible rural students to take advantage of the opportunity.

The initiative comes amid drought and economic distress in several districts of Maharashtra, where rural families are facing increased financial challenges. In such a situation, the cost of expensive coaching can be difficult for many students to bear. The administration’s initiative is aimed at providing necessary academic support to eligible students for competitive examination preparation so that their financial condition does not become an obstacle to further studies.
