CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : Under the dialogue scheme of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad, a divisional-level Maharishi Sri Aurobindo Jayanti Lecture Series (fortnight-long) was organized at the Regional Teaching Institute, Bhopal. The program was presided over by Mohan Nagar, Vice President/Minister of State rank of the Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad. The Chief Guest of the program was Omprakash Soni, Member of the Governing Body of the Parishad; the main speaker was Manoj Sharma, President of the Arvind Society; and distinguished guests included Executive Director Bakul Lad, Principal of the Regional Teaching Institute Shivkumar Gupta, Parishad Advisor Karan Singh Kaushik, and Divisional Coordinator Varun Acharya.
The program commenced with the garlanding of Maharishi Sri Aurobindo’s portrait and the lighting of the lamp by the attending dignitaries. While presiding over the program, Vice President Mohan Nagar highlighted the life of Maharishi Aurobindo and said that Aurobindo had envisioned a unified India, which would certainly be realized. He described Aurobindo as a symbol of India’s philosophical and spiritual consciousness and encouraged students to study the lives of great personalities to draw inspiration.

In his address, main speaker Manoj Sharma elaborated on the life of Maharishi Sri Aurobindo, emphasizing that Aurobindo considered life itself as yoga. He stated that no one has analyzed human life more aptly than Aurobindo. Difficulties in life, he explained, come to refine and elevate a person. Aurobindo viewed India not merely as a material entity but as a mother.
Executive Director Bakul Lad provided detailed information about the objectives of the program and the initiatives undertaken by the Jan Abhiyan Parishad. Distinguished guest Shivkumar Gupta, Principal of the Regional Teaching Institute, said that celebrating Maharishi Aurobindo’s Jayanti is a commendable initiative by the Parishad and will inspire students.

Chief Guest Omprakash Soni highlighted in his speech that Aurobindo believed that India’s progress would lead to the resurgence of eternal values (Sanatan). He urged the youth to draw inspiration from Aurobindo’s life and move forward. Divisional Coordinator Varun Acharya presented mementos to the dignitaries. The program was conducted by District Coordinator Kokila Chaturvedi, with a vote of thanks delivered by Saurabh Kumar of the institute.
The event was attended by D.N. Shrivastava, Headmaster; Block Coordinator Nandkishore Malviya; Mukesh Gaur; Smt. Tina Sharma; representatives of organizations associated with the Jan Abhiyan Parishad network; CMCLDP students; counselors; and the faculty and students of the Regional Teaching Institute.
