A young man who had gone to meet his married lover was brutally beaten to death. Around 50 injury marks were found on his body. It is alleged that the attackers thrashed him severely with sticks, leaving him in critical condition and eventually causing his death. The incident has created panic in the area.
According to information, the young man had reached the woman’s place to meet his married lover. During this time, some people came to know about it. The dispute then escalated, and the youth was allegedly surrounded and attacked. The assailants repeatedly struck him with sticks and batons. The assault was so severe that he suffered deep injuries in several places on his body. After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and the injured youth was taken to hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. In the initial investigation, the love affair is being considered the reason behind the killing. However, police are investigating the case from all angles. Evidence is being collected from the scene and eyewitnesses are also being questioned. According to police officials, the identity of the accused and their roles are being investigated. Further legal action will be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report and the investigation.
