CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal/ New Delhi : At the Silver Oak Hall of the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, the prestigious SKOCH Award 2025 was conferred upon the e-Mandi App (SKOCH Gold) and the MP Farm Gate App (SKOCH Silver), initiated by the Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board, Bhopal. Both applications have been developed by NIC Bhopal.

The awards were presented by Professor S. Mahendra Dev (Chairman, Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council), N. K. Singh (Chairman, 15th Finance Commission, Government of India), Pinky Anand (Senior Advocate, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi), M. Ramachandran (Former Secretary, Government of India), and Sameer Kochhar (Chairman, SKOCH Group). The ceremony was attended by a large number of eminent dignitaries.

The award was received on behalf of the Board under the directions of Managing Director Kumar Purushottam, by Musharraf Sultan (Senior Technical Director, NIC Bhopal), Yogesh Nagle (Assistant Director, Mandi Board Bhopal), and Niranjan Singh.

e-Mandi Application:

This is an Android application that enables real-time computerization of operations from market entry, auctioning, weighing, payment, and licensing. The e-Mandi scheme is operational in all 259 mandis of Madhya Pradesh, and so far, more than 3.2 million farmers have directly benefited from the scheme.

MP Farm Gate App:

This is an Android-based application that farmers can download free of cost on their mobile phones, enabling them to sell their agricultural produce directly from their home, threshing floor, or warehouse at their own price. Madhya Pradesh is the only state in India to provide such a facility to farmers. Using this app, more than 850,000 farmers have sold over 850,000 metric tonnes of agricultural produce.
