CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Manoj Kumar Pandey highlighted the Yogi Adityanath government's law-and-order record and employment initiatives while taking a political dig at the Samajwadi Party's PDA narrative.
Speaking in Lucknow, Pandey said that women in Uttar Pradesh are now able to return home after work late at night without fear. He attributed this change to the law-and-order situation under the current state government and said criminals were keeping away because of the administration's strict approach. These were the minister's political claims about the state's law-and-order situation.
Pandey also questioned the Samajwadi Party's PDA slogan, asking why the party did not implement the concept during its own government. He said the issue was being raised politically and sought an explanation from those promoting the slogan.
On employment, the minister referred to the government's recruitment initiatives and claimed that around 9.5 lakh young people had been connected with employment opportunities. He also said that people were expressing satisfaction over what he described as greater fairness in government recruitment under the present administration.
Pandey's remarks come amid intensified political activity in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, with law and order, employment and social representation emerging as recurring themes in statements by ruling and opposition leaders.
