CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal: On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026, West Central Railway’s Bhopal Division organised a grand yoga programme in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol at the division’s major stations and at the badminton hall of Narmada Club in Rani Kamlapati. The objective of the programme was to increase awareness about a healthy lifestyle among officers, employees and their family members, and to inspire them to make yoga an integral part of daily life.
The programme began in the morning with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a yoga pledge. This was followed by a live telecast of the Prime Minister’s address. Under the guidance of yoga instructor Priyanka Jain, all participants practised various yoga postures, pranayama and meditation in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol. Information on the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga was also shared during the programme.
On the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Pankaj Tyagi, Additional Divisional Railway Managers Yogendra Baghel and Abhiram Khare, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Vijay Singh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Saurabh Kataria, branch officers from various departments of the division, the Chairperson and office-bearers of the West Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (WWO), members and children of Bharat Scouts and Guides, officers and employees of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), railway employees and their family members were present in large numbers.
All participants present at the programme resolved to practise yoga regularly and to spread awareness about yoga among their families and in society. Yoga instructors were also felicitated on the occasion.
The programme organised by Bhopal Division stood out as an excellent example of enthusiasm, discipline and collective participation, and meaningfully reflected the spirit of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
