CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A workshop was organized at Government Excellence School, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, by the Joint Director of the Women & Child Development Department, Bhopal Division, to train the principals and teachers of all schools in Bhopal district as master trainers on girl child safety.

During the workshop, subject experts provided detailed information on various laws implemented for the protection of girls. In the first session, expert Archana Sahay presented information on the POCSO Act, explaining its different sections and provisions. She demonstrated awareness and safety measures for girls under the POCSO Act through a short film.

In the second session, Neha Chaturvedi provided detailed information on the POSH Act, elaborating on the definition of the workplace and related provisions. Bhavna Tripathi delivered an extensive talk on the Domestic Violence Act and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. Experts also answered questions raised by participants during the sessions.

The workshop was attended by Additional Collector Sumit Pandey, Joint Director Naki Jahan Qureshi (Women & Child Development Department, Bhopal Division), Kanak Prasad (Education Department), DEO M. K. Ahirwar, DEO (Fanda) Vijeta Suryavanshi, Assistant Director Rujita Chauhan, Project Officer Akhilesh Chaturvedi, Pankaj Lohati, Archana Bajpai, and all supervisors of the department.

Additionally, the principals and staff of Government Excellence School, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, ensured excellent arrangements for conducting the workshop, which contributed to its successful completion. The participating principals and teachers pledged to ensure the safety of girls and to raise awareness on this topic in their respective schools.
