CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: National Discussion and Workshop on Skill-Based Programs and Apprenticeship Training Credit Evaluation Held at NITTTR Bhopal A national discussion and workshop on the topic of “Evaluating Skill-Based Programs and Apprenticeship Training of up to One Year under the National Credit Framework” was inaugurated at NITTTR Bhopal. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Raghuraj Madhav Rajendran, Secretary of the Department of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh.

In his address, Director Raghuraj emphasized the importance of mapping skills with industry requirements to increase employment opportunities. Special Guest Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India, highlighted the significance of the PM Internship program in providing valuable professional experience. He noted that as India’s economy and industrial sectors evolve, the importance of skill-based education is also increasing.

The National Credit Framework and National Education Policy (NEP) aim to prepare young individuals for the workplace and align their skills with industry demands. NITTTR Bhopal is playing a pivotal role in this endeavor. Institute Director C.C. Tripathi remarked that the NEP has given a new dimension to skill development, marking it as the first policy to emphasize this aspect.

Pro B.L. Gupta shed light on the paperless evaluation process for apprenticeship training and credit allocation. Certificates were distributed to the first batch of apprenticeship training candidates from NITTTR Bhopal. Additionally, the institute launched 10 MOOCs programs in emerging areas.

The workshop also featured addresses by Directors of the Boards of Apprenticeship from Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and Kanpur. Representatives from other NITTTRs in Chennai, Kolkata, and Chandigarh, as well as various industries, educational institutions, and skill development organizations, participated in the event.

The event was coordinated by Sanjay Agarwal, and the proceedings were conducted by Anjana Tiwari.
