Mayor Malti Rai held a meeting with encroachment officers at the ISBT office.

CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: To control the growing encroachments in the city and ensure smooth traffic management, Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai held an important meeting with encroachment officers at the ISBT office. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Municipal Corporation, zonal officers, heads of the encroachment control branch, and representatives of the traffic police.

The Mayor instructed the officials to immediately remove illegal encroachments from key intersections, market areas, and public places. She stated that encroachments not only cause inconvenience to the general public but also disrupt traffic and tarnish the city’s image.

It was also decided in the meeting that regular anti-encroachment drives will be conducted, and a special task force will be formed for this purpose. This task force will include officers from the Municipal Corporation, Traffic Police, and Revenue Department. It will also be ensured that removed encroachments are not re-established.

Mayor Malti Rai further emphasized that only with public participation can the city be made encroachment-free. A public awareness campaign will also be launched in this regard. She appealed to all related departments to work in coordination.

At the end of the meeting, the Mayor issued a stern warning to the officials, stating that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.
