CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the joint auspices of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, and Maharani Laxmibai Government Girls Postgraduate College, Bhopal, Mayor Malti Rai inaugurated a two-day art exhibition and awareness program on the occasion of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and Partition Remembrance Day at the college auditorium.
During the event, Mayor Malti Rai stated that the exhibition provides important insights into the freedom struggle and the Partition Remembrance Day, which are highly inspirational for the younger generation. She further highlighted that initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav have made a significant contribution, particularly toward girls’ empowerment.
Ajay Narang, Chairman of the Public Participation Committee, also appreciated the program, noting that such events help children become aware of India’s history, enabling them to understand the great heroes of the freedom struggle and the painful history of partition.
Manish Gautam, Director of PIB Bhopal, mentioned that following the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the tradition of observing Partition Remembrance Day began in 2021. Remembering the struggles of freedom fighters, he emphasized that it is everyone’s responsibility to uphold freedom and national integrity.
The Tricolor Rally was flagged off by Manish Gautam and Principal Ajay Agrawal, with enthusiastic participation from students who showcased the spirit of women empowerment.
The program began with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by patriotic songs performed by the students. Winners of various competitions conducted during the event were felicitated. Other dignitaries present included local councilor Sushma Bavisa, NSS Program Officer Bhavana Thakur, Deputy Director Sharik Noor, Assistant Directors Ajay Upadhyay, Sameer Verma, Karishma Panth, and other distinguished guests. The stage proceedings were conducted by Assistant Director Parag Mandale.
