CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, a special yoga program was organized at the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind in Bhopal. Mayor of Bhopal, Malti Rai, actively participated in the event and, through her yoga practice, conveyed the message of awareness towards a healthy lifestyle.

The program began at 6:30 AM with a prayer and welcome address, followed by a guided session of various yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation under the direction of trained yoga instructors.

Mayor Malti Rai stated, “Yoga is not just a method to keep the body healthy, but a complete science of life. It is a path to mental peace, self-discipline, and concentration.”

She highlighted the significance of organizing Yoga Day in a cultural institution like the Museum of Mankind, calling it a unique experience that reflects India’s diversity and traditions.

The event also saw participation from municipal officials, museum staff, city residents, students, and representatives of volunteer organizations. Yoga instructors provided detailed insights on asanas and their benefits under the Common Yoga Protocol.

The Director of the Museum welcomed Mayor Malti Rai and affirmed that the institution would continue supporting such public welfare programs in the future. The program concluded with group meditation and chants of peace mantras.
