CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : A one-day workshop was organized at Hotel Siraj under the joint aegis of the Municipal Council and UNICEF, in which Mayor Malti Rai participated as the chief guest. The objective of the workshop was to raise awareness about health, sanitation, nutrition, and rights of women and children in urban areas and to encourage collective efforts toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
During the workshop, experts deliberated on key topics such as child rights, sanitation programs, the nutrition mission, and women’s participation. Mayor Malti Rai stated that the Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with UNICEF, is doing commendable work in the field of child protection and women empowerment in the city. She emphasized that the Municipal Council is committed to bringing change at the grassroots level through such workshops.
The workshop was attended by municipal officials, UNICEF representatives, voluntary organizations, and social workers. Through various presentations and group discussions, strategies were developed to find solutions to pressing social issues.
This initiative reflects the serious and collaborative efforts being made by local administration and international organizations towards social development and inclusive policy-making.
