CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the second day of Mount Carmel University’s (MCU) inaugural session ‘Abhyuday’, senior journalist and author Yashwant Vyas delivered a keynote lecture on “Print Media in the Age of AI.” He said that AI can be a good companion or servant, but it can only be countered with human qualities such as honesty, sensitivity, and ethics. He also noted that print media has opportunities to benefit in this technological era, and that hyper-local reporting will create new job opportunities in the future.
Senior radio announcer Kamal Sharma, while speaking on the topic “The World of Voice,” highlighted the power of words and their impact. He emphasized that good speaking and listening are essential for an announcer, and the correct use of language makes effective communication possible.

Senior journalist and art critic Vinay Upadhyay stressed the importance of communication skills, noting that good words remain permanently etched in memory.
Padma Shri awardee Vijaydutt Shridar, while sharing his views on journalism, literature, and culture, said that language is the primary tool of a journalist. Sachchidanand Joshi spoke about the global influence of Indian culture and knowledge traditions. Dr. Sameer Kapoor highlighted the need for innovation and technical expertise in advertising and public relations in the digital age.

During the program, the Journalism Department’s newspaper Vikalp and the Mass Communication Department’s journal Pahal were released. Students and alumni shared their experiences. The event was conducted by Lokendra Singh Rajput, Garima Patel, Vivek Sawarekar, and Sandeep Bhatt.

On the third day of Abhyuday, expert lectures will focus on film review and electronic media. Alumni will share their experiences, and discussions will cover topics such as film writing, censor technology, and media law.
