CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrated at MCU with Event and Rally
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Scheduled Caste-Tribe Cell of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication organized a special program at Vikas Bhawan, MP Nagar City Campus.
Vice Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari paid floral tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s statue and remarked that Babasaheb was not just the architect of the Indian Constitution but also a successful lawyer, economist, and great thinker.
He shared, “When I read his book on financial subjects, my perspective towards him completely changed.”
He further emphasized, “What truly matters is not how great a person becomes, but the challenges they overcame, what they said, did, and how they guided society. Babasaheb is the greatest example of this truth.”
VC Tiwari also referenced Amritlal Nagar’s book ‘Nachyo Bahut Gopal’, recommending it for all, and emotionally remembered his teacher Sundarlal Jatav, saying, “Whatever I am today is because of the inspiration and blessings of my teachers.”
Pradeep Daheriya, Convener of the SC-ST Cell, highlighted Babasaheb’s contributions, while Co-convener Shri Gyaneshwar Dhoke spoke emotionally about imbibing Ambedkar’s ideals in daily life.
Following the event, a rally was organized from the university to Board Office Square, where garlands were offered at Dr. Ambedkar’s statue. The rally was flagged off by Shri Tiwari.
Present on the occasion were Registrar Avinash Vajpayee, HoD Pavitra Shrivastava, Dr. Monika Verma, Dr. Rakhi Tiwari, Senior Assistant Registrar Vivek Sawrikar, Ms. Aradhana Malviya, Vivek Shakya, along with teachers, staff, officials, and students of the university.
The program was conducted by Dr. Arun Khobre and the vote of thanks was presented by Arun Ahirwar.
