CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India Express / ITDC News Bhopal: The administration of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU) has taken strict action against students habitually absent from various departmental classes. A total of 121 students from the January-June 2025 session have been identified and barred from sitting in the exams.

MCU administration, serious about classroom attendance, has warned that students who enroll but remain absent should study elsewhere; otherwise, they must attend classes regularly with full discipline. Starting next academic session, a feedback system for classroom teaching is being planned, allowing students to provide suggestions regarding their classes and the quality of education.

Class in-charges will also be responsible for ensuring maximum student attendance in their respective classes. Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari will personally conduct weekly classes for the final semester and remain present among students in any class. The parents of students who remain absent regularly will be informed to help them secure admission elsewhere if needed.
